This client approached us with the idea of beautifying their cottage property by adding some features, a man-made stream and pond, and designing the landscaping around those features to make them look completely natural. We did the project design, sculpted the land, installed the features and the landscaping.

The object for this cottage property was to create a landscape design that evoked the feeling of a country garden. The design incorporates a number of walkways, flagstone sitting areas, stone steps down to the water and rock retaining walls.

This naturally beautiful waterfront property required us to come in and create a landscape design that would blend into the existing contours of the land and showcase the house. We built a path to the water, installed low-key landscaping features around the house and put in a natural gravel driveway.

Wet Laid Flagstone work is installed on a concrete core and mortared into place, with a mortar joint, as opposed to flagstone which is laid on gravel and a dry jointing material is used. It suggests an 'English Garden' look and is more durable in general than a dry laid approach. There is less maintenance with wet laid flagstone.
