Fowler Construction Awarded 2025 MTO Paver of the Year

BRACEBRIDGE, ON — February 4, 2025 — Fowler Construction is proud to announce it has been named the 2025 MTO Paver of the Year, a prestigious award recognizing contractors who deliver exceptional quality, performance, and professionalism in asphalt paving.

This marks the fourth time Fowler Construction has received this honour since the award’s inception, following previous wins in 1999, 2011, and 2013—a testament to the company’s long-standing commitment to excellence in road construction.

The MTO Paver of the Year Award recognizes contractors who demonstrate outstanding performance across a range of critical quality and operational criteria, including:

  • Road Smoothness – Exceptional surface quality and consistency

  • Night Paving – Safe and efficient execution of nighttime paving operations

  • Project Completion – Timely delivery and successful execution

  • Workmanship – High standards in construction practices and finishing

  • Mix Quality – Use of superior materials and asphalt mix designs

  • Visual Appearance – Overall aesthetic quality of the finished roadway

  • Innovation – Application of advanced techniques and construction methods

Fowler Construction was recognized for its work on MTO Contract 2025-2004, which included paving:

  • Highway 7289 (formerly Highway 69), from 3.9 km south of Highway 612 northerly 10.6 km to Highway 141

  • Highway 141, from Highway 400 easterly to 0.4 km east of Highway 7289, near Gordon Bay, south of Parry Sound
