FOWLER SUB-ZERO HEROES

We want to take a moment to recognize everyone working with us at FOWLER. Mother Nature has been throwing us some curveballs lately, and everyone has been stepping up and putting in a lot of hours to ensure we keep operating at the highest level. We cannot thank you enough!

We would also like to recognize our Sub-Zero Heroes on the Simcoe Specialized Crew, who worked for twelve hours through the night to fix the Highway 11 centre median just south of Severn Bridge.

And, of course, we couldn’t have done it without the emergency personnel who worked to clear the scene and get everyone home safely. A job well done by all!

MEET THE MANAGER - Gilles Truchon, Director of Business Development & Estimating

Gilles began his career at FOWLER in 1991, following his graduation from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Civil Engineering. At the time, he was just starting his career in construction and was excited to join a company that valued its people and was committed to delivering quality projects.

He notes that he feels fortunate that during his time, FOWLER has maintained its “all hands on deck” approach, demonstrating a strong commitment to completing projects on time and exceeding owners’ expectations. Although both the industry and the company have evolved—growing in sophistication and expanding in scale—FOWLER’s core values have remained unchanged. The company continues to succeed because of its people.

As Director of Business Development and Estimating, Gilles focuses on building strong relationships with clients, governments and agencies across Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton. In his role, he guides strategic growth by collaborating with an exceptional team, leveraging experience, ongoing training, and innovative problem-solving. This commitment helps position FOWLER as the Contractor of Choice.

With strong opportunities across the Materials, Highway Maintenance and Construction divisions, and a busy 2026 bidding season underway, Gilles is excited about the future and the synergies that continue to drive FOWLER’s success.

FOWLER SAFTEY OFFICER CERTIFICATE

Please join us in congratulating Alex B. on successfully completing her National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation!

This is a significant professional achievement, made even more impressive by the fact that Alex completed the program in the minimal allowable time. Although this highlights her dedication, discipline and strong commitment to construction safety and excellence, she also knows how to keep it fun on the job.

25 YEARS OF SERVICE

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone—Heather S.'s 25 years with FOWLER!

For 25 years, Heather’s dedication, vision and passion have helped shape who we are today. Her impact has reached every corner of the company, from supporting her team members to championing our growth, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Congratulations, Heather, on this remarkable achievement. Here’s to the many years ahead!

FOWLER NEW EQUIPMENT

Introducing the Wingtra Gen II with Photogrammetry, the newest piece of FOWLER equipment for the Surveying team!

The Wingtra Gen II captures sharp aerial photos from above and turns them into clear, detailed maps that help teams understand a construction site or quarry at a glance. This will save time in the field and give our surveyors the insights they need faster.

Pictured is Rafal D., the FOWLER surveyor who will be flying it.
