MARCH 2026

FOWLER RECOGNIZED BY THE BRACEBRIDGE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

We’re honoured to share that FOWLER Construction Company Limited has been nominated by the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce for Legacy Business of the Year, and John McBride has been nominated for the Community Connector Award!

We’re also proud to see John McBride nominated for the Community Connector Award. John is known for bringing people together and fostering partnerships between local businesses, organizations and community members to turn great ideas into successful initiatives.

MEET THE MANAGER

James Gordon has nearly three decades of experience with FOWLER, and a career that’s taken him through almost every facet of the business. He began his career in the quality control lab and has since held roles in construction, including traffic control and labourer, QC plan administrator on MTO projects, construction resource coordinator, quality control manager, estimator and materials manager before stepping into his current position as sales & technical manager.

This diverse background gives James a practical, well-rounded perspective and a strong understanding of both the technical and operational sides of the industry. He’s known for his hands-on approach and his ability to connect the dots between project needs and effective solutions!

James has also been actively involved in the broader industry. He spent 13 years on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (OSSGA), serving as Chairperson in 2015, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Asphalt Pavement Council (OAPC).

Fun Fact: No FOWLER event would be complete without James at the microphone as our Master of Ceremonies (sharing all of his favourite dad jokes)!

FOWLER JOB FAIR VISITS

Thank you to Alanna and Shiju for welcoming potential job seekers at the Parry Sound Job Fair hosted by the YMCA!

We’re extremely grateful for their time, energy and commitment to supporting the community on behalf of FOWLER.

Thank you to Abbigail H., Crystal L. and Brenda S. for connecting with job fair attendees at the Ramara Chamber Job Fair!

And a final BIG thank you goes to all our employees who are busy spreading the word and recommending us to your friends and neighbours. You’re truly our best ambassadors!

FOWLER DRONE TRAINING

Rafal D. and Deeann A. have successfully completed training and are now certified and licensed in BVLOS Level 1 Complex Operations. The training was completed through Clarion Drone Academy and their advanced pilot instructor, Darren Clarke.

This expanded capability strengthens our survey operations and enhances the efficiency and reach of our aerial data collection.

Congratulations to Rafal and Deeann on this achievement and on continuing to advance FOWLER’s technical capabilities.

DZ LICENCE DRIVER TRAINING

We're excited to give a warm welcome to our newest class of DZ driver trainees!

FOWLER is proud to host these in-house training sessions, supporting and developing the next generation of skilled drivers.

A big thank you to Thomas S. for leading and guiding this group as they begin their journey in the program.

Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth, Darren, Jim, Manish, Rob, Ashleigh and Logan. Here’s to a successful start and a great road ahead!
