FOWLER WELCOMES JOHN MACKAY, PRESIDENT
On July 21, 2025, John MacKay joined FOWLER Construction as the new President. His career began in the field, focusing on areas such as material engineering, estimating, project management and executive leadership. Throughout his more than thirty-year career, he has served in senior leadership roles at Beamish Construction, Aecon, and Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP).
As President, John will oversee FOWLER's strategic direction and day-to-day operations, working closely with teams, partners, and clients to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and community impact. John will be relocating to the Muskoka region, reinforcing his commitment to the area we proudly serve.
FOWLER WELCOMES DEREK TAYLOR, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
On July 7, 2025, FOWLER Construction welcomed Derek Taylor as the new Director of Finance. As a seasoned financial executive, Derek brings extensive expertise in accounting, finance, tax, budgeting, and economic strategy. His diverse background across the human resources, mutual fund, travel, and hospitality sectors brings a fresh, strategic perspective to FOWLER.
Derek is known for his ability to optimize business processes and mentor those around him. His thoughtful and collaborative leadership style aligns closely with FOWLER's values. In his new role, Derek will lead our Finance and IT teams, driving financial excellence as we continue to grow and evolve.
As a proud resident of Huntsville, Derek brings not only his professional talents but also a strong personal connection to the Muskoka region.

We were proud to welcome all of the Canadian Premiers and Prime Minister Mark Carney to Muskoka for their deliberations at Deerhurst in Huntsville this past week.

Congratulations to Arthur J.T. on his remarkable 25-year milestone with FOWLER. His dedication, hard work, and leadership in our Construction Division have played a key role in our continued success.
Art’s impact is visible in projects like the ongoing work along Highway 169—a true testament to his hands-on expertise and commitment to quality.

‘LUNCH ON FOWLER’ WINNERS FOR JULY
Way to go, Elizabeth, our June GRAND PRIZE Winner of the Health & Safety Lunch on Fowler campaign! She was caught demonstrating safe practices and received a Chilly Moose cooler backpack. She is pictured with H&S Manager Paul P. and Supervisor Sean S.
Tyler went above and beyond during the recent heat wave by providing water and checking in on his team.
Blaine received a Lunch on Fowler gift card for demonstrating exceptional safety on the jobsite and is now entered into the monthly grand prize draw!
A double shoutout to Brian & Ben! This spotter/operator duo showed excellent communication and hand signals while navigating a tricky dig around a telecom line and culvert—no damage, thanks to great teamwork!
