WELCOME TO FOWLER

We are pleased to announce that Mark Taylor has joined FOWLER as our new Senior Manager of Construction, effective October 20th.

Mark brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, most recently serving as Director of Operations at Aecon Civil East. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in delivering major projects such as the civil construction of six gas compressor stations for Union Gas and the development of a 10MW solar park in Peterborough.

His expertise includes constructability design review, estimating, cost control, site supervision, project management, staffing, safety and full project execution. Mark has led projects across the private, municipal, provincial and federal sectors, and he remains active in the industry through his work with the ORBA Transportation Committee.

A proud graduate of Georgian College’s Civil Engineering Technology program—a program well regarded within the FOWLER family—Mark spent the last 28 years building his career at Aecon, progressing from Grade Foreman to senior leadership.

Mark’s extensive knowledge, leadership and industry insight will be invaluable to our team. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome as he steps into his new role..

CP24 CHRISTMAS WISH INITIATIVE

What a great way to roll into November—our FOWLER paver made an appearance on CP24!

And, well done to the Ontario Road Builders’ Association for the generous donation to the CP24 Christmas Wish initiative. We’re so proud to be a part of an industry that gives back in such meaningful ways!

Big thanks to Rick A. for snapping and sharing the perfect shot.

PARADE SEASON BEGINS

Wishing everyone a merry and bright start to the holiday season!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing team of elves, including Mike B., Dusty and Pierre, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get our float ready to roll for the Gravenhurst Santa Claus Parade. Your hard work and holiday spirit were shining.

Shout out to Tina V. and Ethan for their outstanding smiles and waving skills! You two brought the festive magic.

And, of course, thank you to Clay B. for taking the wheel!

That's one of four parades complete! We're so proud to be a part of such wonderful community events. We are looking forward to the Huntsville, Parry Sound and Bracebridge parades!

THANKS FROM THE COMMUNITY

My wife and I wanted to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to one of your employees who went above and beyond to assist us during extremely poor weather conditions.

On Saturday, November 15th, my wife and I ventured out to run a few errands. To our surprise, the weather had worsened into a freezing ice storm, and we made the decision to stay home rather than continue into town. Unfortunately, our driveway had become very slippery, and my wife has difficulty walking without support. Being in our 80s, I’m afraid I wasn’t much help to her either.

At that moment, we heard a young man call out, asking if we needed assistance. To our surprise and relief, a gentleman stood behind us, ready and eager to help. He kindly assisted both of us safely back to our home, and even carried our bags and my wife’s walker inside.

After a brief chat—and many, many thanks from us—he went on his way. It truly felt as though he appeared at exactly the moment we needed him most. His name was Dylan Reynolds, who we understand to be a local young man from Minden.

His kindness made a world of difference that day. Thank you, Mr. Reynolds. Elva and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas with your children.

We also want to thank Fowler Construction for employing such caring, top-notch individuals. It speaks volumes about the culture of your organization.

Great work on our highways, and all the best.

Sincerely,
Sean and Elva
