OCTOBER 2025
FOWLER’S THIRD ANNUAL HAMPER DRIVE
We’re proud to share that FOWLER’s third annual Thanksgiving Hamper Drive was an incredible success, thanks to the generosity, dedication, and community spirit shown by our employees and local partners.
This year, we delivered hundreds of hampers to seven local food banks, each filled with a turkey, fresh produce, a pie, and seasonal essentials to help brighten the holiday for families across Muskoka and Parry Sound.
The hampers were distributed to: Huntsville and Parry Sound Salvation Army, West Muskoka Food Bank, Manna Food Bank, Gravenhurst Against Poverty, The Table Foundation (Huntsville) and Harvest Share (Parry Sound).
WELCOME CONOR QUINLESS
Last month, we welcomed Conor Quinless to the FOWLER team as our new Director of Highway Maintenance.
Conor brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of both the construction and highway maintenance industries. His career began early, working as a Construction and Highway Maintenance Worker while still a student, giving him a strong, hands-on foundation and a practical approach to leadership.
Please join us in giving Conor a warm FOWLER welcome!
SAFETY WEEK
Our President, John MacKay, with the help of the Safety Team, visited all of our FOWLER teams this October to share some timely safety reminders as we head into fall.
Monday started bright and early with a trip to our Rosewarne Shop and a message to walk and work with caution as the season changes, temperatures get colder, and the days get shorter.
Tuesday was up in North Bay! Special shoutout to Tina for documenting and sharing photos.
The tour continued on Wednesday with our Simcoe CDMC, who were ready to roll! Thanks to Crystal L, Brenda S., Dustin and the team for sharing their stage, and to Crystal-Rose and Brenda for capturing the photos.
The week finished with trips to Mactier and Rosewarne offices today! Thank you to everyone who helped coordinate and who attended!
We call that a successful FOWLER Safety Reset Week! When the snow comes, and it’s time for winter maintenance, we’re ready for it!
RIDE FOR HEART GOLDEN WHEEL AWARD
Thanks to your dedication, and with FOWLER’s donation matching, we collectively raised over $17,000 in support of life-changing heart and stroke research. The Golden Wheel Award arrived at our office this month, and we’re already gearing up to ride again next year!
ORANGE SHIRT PARTICIPATION DAY
Check out our Safety Team sporting their orange shirts in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day.
This day seeks to promote healing and understanding, while honouring both those who were lost and the survivors of Canada's residential school system.
Thank you for sharing, team!
DZ DRIVER TRAINING
Thank you to Thomas S. for leading this year's DZ driving program and to our Class of 2025 for stepping up to pursue your DZ licenses. We're proud to support the program and look forward to seeing you out on the road!
