Granite shot rock is large, rough chunks of granite that are blasted (or "shot") from a quarry wall and left mostly unprocessed, meaning the pieces are irregular and quite large. It’s very strong and heavy, making it ideal for heavy construction and stabilization projects.
Common uses for granite shot rock:
Erosion control – Stabilizes shorelines, slopes, and embankments against water or wind erosion.
Building riprap walls – Forms protective barriers along rivers, lakes, and coastal areas.
Base for very large structures – Creates a tough, supportive foundation under highways, dams, and industrial sites.
Landscape accents – Used for natural-looking boulder walls, garden borders, or decorative features.
NOTE: Pickup trucks will only be loaded if paired with a trailer that is at least 12 feet in length and equipped with a minimum of two axles. The combined truck and trailer must be legally rated to carry the intended load. Fowler Construction staff reserve the right to refuse loading any truck and/or trailer deemed unsafe or not roadworthy.
