Salted sand, as its name implies, is a mixture of small sand granules and rock salt. Its primary purpose is to provide traction and help melt ice and snow during the winter.
The grey-brown colour and gritty texture make it easily recognizable and effective on icy roads, but it can also be used by homeowners for their driveways, walkways and steps to keep them clear and slip-free.
NOTE: Pickup trucks will only be loaded if paired with a trailer that is at least 12 feet in length and equipped with a minimum of two axles. The combined truck and trailer must be legally rated to carry the intended load. Fowler Construction staff reserve the right to refuse loading any truck and/or trailer deemed unsafe or not roadworthy.
